We have been informed that the Community Defibrillator at Lingen Village Hall is now obsolete as the replaceable parts i.e. battery, defibrillator pads etc. are being discontinued.  The Village Hall and Border Group Parish Council bought it 10 years ago and the Village Hall has since maintained it, including electricity for the cabinet.

This has been used to save at least one life and we believe it to be an essential asset to the community of Lingen and the surrounding rural area.

We have been quoted £1134.00 inc Vat to replace it with a fully automatic updated version, which can be switched from adult to child without the need for different pads.

The cabinet it is housed in is fine, as is the electrical connection to light and maintain its temperature.

Unfortunately, the village hall cannot finance this alone again, and is courteously asking the community to kindly donate in order to purchase this vital lifesaving equipment for the use of any member of the public.
Please consider making a donation to :-

The Lingen Bowls Club are our dedicated local team and have once again been competing against other local teams this season.

Despite their valiant efforts Titley won the league … and many congratulations to them … but our guys and girls were Runners Up in the quiz held at the End-of-Season Bowls Social. Wigmore won got 1st prize in that one!!

Our warmest thanks to all of the other local teams for another competitive season and thanks also to Titley for hosting the wonderful social.

Don’t worry though … Lingen Bowls Club are already honing their bowling skills for next season’s gladiatorial challenge in the local league!!!!!

They are always looking for new players, so if you want to join the team then it restarts in the Autumn
